The mountain ski resort Chimbulak is located in the picturesque gorge of Zailiisky Alatau at the height of 2260 m above sea level, at a distance of 25 km from the center of Almaty City.
The average atmospheric temperature is +20C in summer, and -7C in winter. The average thickness of snow cover is up to 150 cm; the number of sunny days is 90% per year. The snow cover lies from November to May.
Mountain ski routes are served by two two-chair lifts, one-chair and three towing rope ways, as well as with the free baby-lift.
There is the snowpark for those who are fond of snowboarding.
The lifts will lift you from the height of 2,260 m above sea level to the Talgarsky pass (3,163 m) – the difference in height is up to 1000 m. The routes are prepared with three snow-compacting machines (Ratrack).
